Kidney Cancer

Kidney cancer occurs when abnormal cells in the kidneys begin to grow uncontrollably and form a tumor. The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the spine that filter waste and excess fluids from the blood to produce urine. The most common type is Renal Cell Carcinoma, which begins in the lining of the kidney’s small tubes. Kidney cancer may not show symptoms in early stages, but as it progresses it can cause blood in urine, back pain, fatigue, weight loss, and swelling around the kidneys. Early detection and proper treatment can significantly improve outcomes.

    Conditions Treated

  • Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) – the most common form of kidney cancer.
  • Transitional Cell Carcinoma – cancer that develops in the renal pelvis.
  • Wilms Tumor – a rare kidney cancer usually found in children

Benefits of Laparoscopic Surgery

  • Higher treatment success rate when detected in early stages.
  • Preservation of kidney function through minimally invasive procedures.
  • Reduced risk of cancer spreading to other organs.
